Harry and his staff are absolutely perfect, charming and welcoming - the real ale is second to none. The food is perfect - home cooked - just what you want.
You can enjoy long walks from the base so just leave your campervan and head off.
The pitch for the campervan is excellent - full electrics and plenty of space between pitches. The facilities are clean and bright and available as you'd expect 24 hours a day. If you are looking for a base in the Snowdonia national park then look no further than Y Giler Arms. Thank you Harry - Best Wishes, Alex, Barry and Paul

We booked in for 2 nights in a row and both nights could not fault the food or service. A lovely dining area with friendly and helpful staff. Many thanks to all staff last weekend. 2 very enjoyable nights. Good selection on the menu at very reasonable prices.

Old hotel a long way from Betws y coed. Thought we were booking somewhere close by. Room clean, comfortable bed.
Meals in restaurant very good. Friendly welcome and service. Very quiet area. Would recommend restaurant which opens at 7.30pm

Lovely camp site, excellent facilities, hot shower block & toilets, regular cleaned several times daily. The hotel's restaurant was five star, small menu but something for everyone, the food and service was excellent, only downside the pub didn't open til 6pm each evening it would have been better if it opened about 3pm, hence the 4 stars. The camp was great for dog lovers very dog friendly place and clean. Will defiantly return.

Just returned home after a wonderful weekend in North Wales. Along with my Mum and two children I stayed at the Y Giler arms for 1 night. We had a very pleasant stay. We had a family room with twin beds and bunk beds, which were so comfy. Plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits and soft fluffy towels! A highlight was our evening meal in the restaurant. The food was outstanding (especially the authentic chicken tikka masala) and very reasonably priced. The owners and staff were very pleasant and made us feel welcome. Thank you for a lovely stay. If we travel to North Wales again we will most definitely be staying at the Y Giler arms!

Having always lived in the area, my family and I are used to having to go quite far from home for a good meal out given the rural setting. Having somewhere like this only 5 minutes down the road is therefore great! Reasonable prices and very tasty food - definitely somewhere to check out which may not automatically come to mind, well worth a visit

Lovely camp site, pitches well kept with easy access to water and electricity if you need it. Pub serves decent food, open for pre-booked breakfast but isn't open during the day until 7pm. Staff were very helpful before we arrived when I emailed to ask about a shipping delivery. Great location with easy access to local attractions and lovely scenery all round. Only minor gripe for us is lack of washing up area although we coped and there are only 2 showers so there was a bit of a queue at times, that being said, toilets and showers were clean and well kept which is always a deal breaker for me! Would visit again!

The Y Giler Arms have amazing staff that give top notch service! Delicious food and fantastic drink prices. I would without a doubt visit this establishment again. My best friend and I spent 4 days there for a girls trip and although remote it was perfect. The beautiful welsh rolling hills and the quaint dog friendly bar area really made the trip. The local people were friendly and we had many laughs over the pool table! I would highly recommend visiting!

We stayed for 3 nights over this weekend we had 3 pitches together. When we arrived we had a warm welcome We pitched up loads of room to camp such a beautiful peaceful setting. We loved the sheep and lake Because of how windy it was we used the pub for dinner as we didn't want to cook ourself. Food was outstanding and place has a really cosy warm feel to it Everyone in pub very smiley and welcoming. Campsite Toilets and showers very clean which is always a bonus
We will be back again. Had so much fun here
Only thing missing was a washing up station which would of made things a lot easier

14 of us went for an evening at the Giler Arms over the bank holiday and we all had a great time. The evening meals were all excellent and reasonably priced and the new owners very hospitable and keen to please. Views from the rooms and restaurant were amazing and would recommend this stay. We would have no hesitation in going back. Thank you to the owners and see you again soon.
